Ordering via Gardners direct to Antony Rowe
If you have negotiated with Gardners to stock your book as a POD title it is then made available via their ordering system which is linked to our Eastbourne server.
If a customer orders it in a bookshop or online, Gardners' computers will automatically tell ours, we'll print it and they'll deliver it. Another book sold, and you haven't even had to raise a finger. All you need do is send Gardners an invoice.
How it works
- When a customer orders your book in a bookshop or online, the retailer will ask Gardners to find it.
- If Gardners don't have it in stock, they'll make a note of it on their server.
- Our system checks Gardners' server every 20 minutes for every book we hold in print-ready format.
- We'll spot yours and automatically print however many books have been ordered. And then we'll print a delivery note.
- Paperbacks are printed within 48 hours and delivered to Gardners (who share the same site as us).
- Your book will then be sent to the customer that day. Or if there are other books going to the same address, they'll all be sent out at the same time.
- Each month, you'll receive a report from Gardners that details how many books they've sold for you.
You'll then need to invoice Gardners, taking into account their agreed standard discount.
